May, 14 2024：VN-Index remained stagnant at the end (VN-Index +0.25%)

• VN-Index opened with an upward movement of the buyer as the buy-up volume took over the market. However, the seller soon dragged the Index down after that. Trading liquidity was mild, reaching VND 7 trillion in the morning.
• Although the Real Estate and Banking sectors were positive in the morning, they recorded a net selling value of foreign investors at VND 144 billion and VND 195.7 billion, respectively.
• Trading activity was moderate in the afternoon. The buying force managed to push up the market a little at the end.
• The Retail and Travel & Leisure sectors surged to anchor the Index.
• Market breadth had 226 increasing, 201 decreasing, and 79 unchanged stocks.
• Liquidity decreased by 10.2% to VND 15.6 trillion.

VN-30 assisted the market (VN-30 +0.38%)

• The basket included 13 rising, 11 declining, and 6 unchanged stocks.
• BCM (+3.91%) and MWG (+3.09%) were the only 2 stocks to increase more than 3%.
• On the other hand, PLX (-2.22%), VJC (-1.52%), and BID (-1.03%) narrowed down the market.

Sectors and stocks daily highlights

• VHC (+1.74%) generated VND 1,091 billion in revenue in April 2024 which increased 25% YoY. This was mainly attributed to the growth of Pangasius products and miscellaneous, reaching VND 635 billion (+22% YoY) and VND 205 billion (+112% YoY), respectively.
• VPB (+1.60%) announced the record date to pay dividends by share at a rate of 10% is on May 23, 2024. In addition, the payment day will be on May 31, 2024.
• Foreign investors had a net selling session with VND 799 billion. VHM (+0.12%), VPB (+1.60%), and HPG (+0.00%) were the most net-sold stocks. Meanwhile, MWG (+3.09%) was the only notable net-bought stock.
