September, 24 2024: VN-Index had a strong gain at the end (VN-Index +0.67%)
- VN-Index opened with stagnant sentiment. It started and fluctuated around the reference mark throughout the morning session.
- Differences among the sectors are not seen. Most of them were traded without notable outcome except for the Insurance sector at the negative side.
- The momentum kept at the beginning of afternoon. However, buying pressure suddenly entered into the market and pushed the Index up further and further.
- The Banking sector was the driving force in the market. The Real Estate sector also had a positive session.
- Market breadth included 256 winners, 119 losers, and 95 unchanged.
- Liquidity increased by 39% to VND 17.9 trillion.
VN-30 gained owing to Banking stocks (VN-30 +0.74%)
- The basket recorded 25 increasing stocks, 3 decreasing stocks, and 2 stocks staying the same.
- Banking stocks such as SSB (+3.45%), STB (+3.41%) and VIB (+3.24%) were the notable increasing stocks.
- Meanwhile, BVH (-0.34%), VNM (-0.28%), and PLX (-0.11%) were the only 3 stocks which recorded drops.
Sectors and stocks daily highlights
- VJC (+0.10%) has signed a cooperation agreement with Honeywell Aerospace Engineering Corporation (USA) which is worth 1.1 billion USD on providing electronic equipment and aviation technical services for the airline’s new generation wide-body A330neo aircraft.
- The Board of Directors of SMC (+5.88%) approved to transfer land use rights and assets in land at SMC Da Nang One Member Co., Ltd. Because of its unfavorable business in the past 2 years, the company has been transferring their assets recently.
- Foreign investors net sold VND 2,479 billion. MWG (+1.19%) and MSB (+1.31%) had the most net buying value. On the other hand, VIB (+3.24%) was extraordinarily sold more than VND 2,000 billion.
